This month I had one of the highlights of my career with meteorites: I facilitated a gift of some fresh Chelyabinsk meteorites to Clark Planetarium.
In March I contacted Tim Riester, CEO of RIESTER (where I work), who generously agreed to make the donation on behalf of our company.
The new meteorites generated enthusiastic coverage from Utah media landing on the front page of the Salt Lake Tribune. Deseret News, KUER, KUTV2, ABC4, KSL, and KBYU all did stories. The Associated Press put it on their wire and the Daily Herald in Provo was one of the outlets that picked it up.
Here’s my guest post on the Clark Planetarium website: Epic Russian Meteorite Slams in to Clark Planetarium.
It’s an honor to play a role in adding to the collection of my hometown planetarium. These little rocks are older than any Earth rock by billions of years!
